St. Joseph's High School (C.B.S.E), Sunset Avenue chittaranjan is a Catholic School run by the Catholic Diocese of Asansol, to provide Quality Higher Education in English. There are Vernacular Schools already imparting education here. Many expressed the need for an English Medium School in Chittaranjan, Hence we are here to facilitate and impart Best education possible in English for the Students of Chittaranjan.

St. Joseph's is not merely a 'Brand Name' as many think. It is an institution with a differences not only imparting Quality Education, but also explore new avenues to involve the students to go beyond the text books. We have probed the mind of students to expand their vision & knowledge to face the new challenges that are emerging today. They should be ready to face any challenges. We will do all that is possible, within human reach, to take our students, to a new level & new horizon and attain goals, which is the motton of our institution. May God bless our endeavor and shower his wisdom on all our student and teachers , and grant his peace and glory, to all guardians and well wishers, to join hands with us , to make this institution a guiding star.

With best wishes

Letter to Parents/guardians

Dated: May 7th 2020

“Gratitude is the attitude of the soul.”

(St.Joseph CBSE Sunset Avenue, Chittaranjan is the offshoot of Hindi Convent School which started in the year 1953.The last thirty years were vibrant as many Bethany Sisters came and toiled here, spreading the light of education to students of multi cultures as their parents worked in C.L.W.The poor parents could not afford to send their wards to the existing English medium schools. Bethany sisters filled with love and compassion took great care of this lot and educated them. At present almost all of them have well settled and doing well.

Seeing the signs of the time and need for English education parents approached Fr.Valerian Fernandez the then Vicar General of Asansol Diocese requested to change medium of school over to English. After much thought and reflection the decision was taken to change the medium of instruction from Hindi to English, and it’s affiliated to CBSE which is at present at Sunset Avenue Chittaranjan. It is full pledged CBSE School and has been achieving very good result both in class X Class XII in the Board Examinations. From last two years admissions to senior secondary school has been increasing. It is a clear sign of genuine hard work of the management and the Sisters who have given yeomen service for the development of this school.)
