PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE 2021-2022

Dear Parents/ Guardians/Students

I am grateful to my predecessors, Bethany Sisters who have toiled here, in spreading the light of education to the students. St. Joseph’s Convent High School, since its inception has earned its own niche and believes in the individual success and growth of every student. Carrying this legacy forward, it is my pleasure and honor to introduce myself as the Principal of this esteemed institution. This school community of learners, where everyone everyday learns including myself, our staff and parents. Together, we will maintain our tradition of excellence that makes St. Joseph’s Convent High School such a special place.

We, at St. Joseph’s Convent High School are very grateful to our parents for their sincere involvement in the school. Without their single minded co-operation we cannot offer the holistic education.

During this Pandemic situation, St. Joseph’s Convent High school has earned all the support and cooperation from each and every parent, guardian, student, faculty member at every step and I look forward to the same collaboration and support so that we embrace all the challenges with confidence and steadfastness.

St. Joseph’s School aims at the integral development of each student under the banner of St. Joseph our Patron. This is the place where child’s potential allows him/her to build personally, socially and academically and become a person with right values and well equipped human being. We the staff and management will do our best in imparting and guiding the students.

Thanking you! SR. PRIYANKA CSST

Letter to Parents/guardians

SJCHSCBSE CRJ

Dated: May 7th 2020

“Gratitude is the attitude of the soul.”

(St.Joseph CBSE Sunset Avenue, Chittaranjan is the offshoot of Hindi Convent School which started in the year 1953.The last thirty years were vibrant as many Bethany Sisters came and toiled here, spreading the light of education to students of multi cultures as their parents worked in C.L.W.The poor parents could not afford to send their wards to the existing English medium schools. Bethany sisters filled with love and compassion took great care of this lot and educated them. At present almost all of them have well settled and doing well.

Seeing the signs of the time and need for English education parents approached Fr.Valerian Fernandez the then Vicar General of Asansol Diocese requested to change medium of school over to English. After much thought and reflection the decision was taken to change the medium of instruction from Hindi to English, and it’s affiliated to CBSE which is at present at Sunset Avenue Chittaranjan. It is full pledged CBSE School and has been achieving very good result both in class X Class XII in the Board Examinations. From last two years admissions to senior secondary school has been increasing. It is a clear sign of genuine hard work of the management and the Sisters who have given yeomen service for the development of this school.)

As our tenure of service is coming to an end I take this opportunity to thank each and every one who were responsible to make our stay successful one in this place. Late Archbishop Henry D’Souza was instrumental to invite us to this place. May his soul rest in peace! The General Managers and the subsequent Managers & officials of CLW administration who made us feel homely and comfortable to carry on our responsibilities. We are truly grateful to each one of them. I thank Most Rev.Bishop Cyprian Monis the outgoing Bishop and the Diocesan Fathers, Parish Priests for their availability and kind service.

I thank our Superior Generals and Provincial Superiors who have taken keen interest to give value based education to our students .It is my privilege to thank all principals of both ICSE and CBSE, Secretaries, Headmistresses who have left no stone unturned to give quality education and develop CBSE School to the present status. Dear teachers taking note of your dedication in shouldering our responsibility we acknowledge your contribution in present day education. We are grateful to you dear teachers.

Parents you were a great support to us. Dear Students you were highly receptive and cooperative. It was a joy to work for you and with you. Our best regards to you dear students and teachers.
